It contains a certain tragic element but with a satisfying HEA ending.

4.5 stars A beautiful intriguing fantasy story which gave me laughs but also a deep sad feeling (not bad) a kind of a deep rooted sadness of the knowledge what belonging could be or what it is.When I talk in riddles blame the author ha!An amazingly written story I loved it very!!A complicated story. Difficult to explain without spoiling. I’ll do my best.We can experience this story by Eli’s pov which was quite spectacular... The story is counting the days to ‘the Gathering’ the big celebration of the Founding of the Seven Realms... the only event where the gods attend.Faes, Werekin, Sorcerer, Kings, any strong beautiful creatures, name them I loved them. Eli is a different kind... more an undefinable kind of creature.Elian and Adrian are brothers not by blood. In Eli his eyes they are destined to be mates. Because a special spell said so. Adrian doesn’t know this and is in love with the beautiful man Alexander. Eli’s longing and yearning was palpable.When higher hands wants to reverse things....that’s just devastating. I cried with them...When D Day arrived the description of all environments was just breathtaking. I saw everything before my eyes, really well done! What happened after that was beyond imagination.Ok... at some point I had to take a break because... it was somewhat heavy... and confusing, but also wonderful... and not... and devastating... and... did I say confusing?An amazing fantasy world, with a lot to digest. It’s not my daily kind of story, so it was sometimes unfamiliar for me and had to read parts again to understand. I had some trouble with the unconventional end, maybe it’s because of my lack of imagination.
