Review

In this, the third installment of the Beardsden Witch series, Gwynedd Crowther is desperate to find a way to close a portal in the fairy mound at Mitchell Hall. She's certain that she is being stalked by a Tuatha Dé fairy who may kill her as punishment for something that occurred far in her family's past. Gwyn searches spell books, grimoires, and travels to another country in search of an aunt, looking for help. All the while, she sees visions and feels as if she's being watched. This story is well-written, has likeable main characters, a good supporting cast, and has all the feels. Here we have growth, friendship, loyalty, and love to balance betrayal, heartbreak, frustration, and moments of sheer terror. If you like fantasy and stories about witches and unusual supernatural beings, with a good dose of mystery that keeps you guessing until the end, you'll enjoy this book. Better yet, pick up Secrets of a Midlife Witch, the first book of the Bearsden Witch series, and read the series in order. You'll get more good stories and learn the background of the characters and affairs of this book. Bonus that the series is on Kindle Unlimited.
