Review

I bought this e-Book for myself as an avid fan of the High Republic publishing initiative. And as such, I was genuinely enthralled with this book. The premise is really promising: three young people are racing to map a hyperspace route, a fascinating concept laid out wonderfully in this book. And the delivery was more than I could have anticipated. There's adventure, peril, and plenty of time for the kids to learn more about themselves. I'm a big fan of these stories that maintain a tighter focus amidst the sprawling narrative of the High Republic and give us a chance to really dig into the characters and the dynamics of daily life in the galaxy during the era. This book became one of my favorite pieces of the entire High Republic initiative. So when my 10-year-old daughter, who struggles to find books she connects with, asked me what I was reading, I told her and she was immediately interested in this one. I went ahead and bought the print book for her and she was swept up immediately. She was reading it while waiting in line, while traveling, and in bed after waking up in the morning. It brought me such joy to finally see her enthralled with a book. She really loves these characters and although she hasn't finished yet, she is really eager to find out how their journey ends.I absolutely recommend this book for readers of any age who love a good story of adventure and coming-of-age in space!
