Review

I read this because I am a “Vietnam Nam Era” veteran who spent time on funeral details for Navy veterans who came home for burial. I have always respected those who went. Primarily my job was making arrangements to fly sailors to Vietnam and supporting ships in the area. This book opened my eyes as to what in-country grunts had to deal with. It’s an incredible book, and because I believe we need to understand the situations we place our young men and women in, I believe we all need to understand and respect Big John’s experience.
