I have read many books on D/s always trying to better myself. Most of them go through some type of history and topical information about the experiences of the author, and just seem to be collections of stories. By far this book however is easily the most recommendable of the books out there. From beginning to end it answers crucial questions of "Why," such as why are we wanting what we want and why things really work in getting them. In terms of the multitude of important subjects it covers, it is more descriptive than other books of what is going on in the D/s dynamic, and what works and what doesn't, and again "why" that's so... It is written to be understood primarily from a Dom perspective. Also, refreshingly, and very intelligently, it is written in an gender neutral way which makes it much easier to read and saves a lot of effort to understand what is being communicated. This book is written by a pro and is the most must-have book out there in my opinion. This book is the chance to have a very very smart, competent, guru explaining things in depth, and doing it in a very clear way as if you and your partner are human.
